Chuck Homuth is a Florida Licensed Nutritional Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the Retail Health Food business. Chuck grew up on a farm in Southern Minnesota and learned first hand the important role agriculture plays in human nutrition. Upon moving to Florida in 1988, Chuck began managing a local health food store. In 1992, after realizing he could no longer grow in the position, he ventured out on his own and opened Chuck‘s Natural Food Marketplace in Temple Terrace. It was a small store (under 1500 sq ft) but Chuck had much greater visions of building the business into a much larger natural food market concept in which he could offer the customer a ‘one-stop‘ shopping experience. He realized this dream in the spring of 1998, when he expanded into the present location (6400 sq ft), and opened a cafe and juice bar inside. 1998 proved to be a successful year for Chuck as he began plans to open a second Chuck‘s Natural Food Marketplace that same summer. The Brandon store opened in late September of 1998 and comprises the present space (7000 sq ft) and also includes a cafe and juice bar.
Chuck has always had further expansion on his mind as he feels that the health food business is by far the most beneficial way to enlighten the general public about taking charge of their own personal health. |

Karen Newton
-- Karen Newton is our store manager at the Temple Terrace store. She has been employed at Chuck's since September 1996. Karen has over 15 years in the health food industry. Her specialty is assisting customers with all their vitamin and supplement needs.
